Once approved, your architect must prepare detailed construction plans that: (a) are consistent with the approved design plans; (b) satisfy all required standards and specifications in the Manual; and (c) comply with all federal, state and local ordinances, building codes, permits and lease requirements and restrictions applicable to the premises. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after the initial design plans for your salon are approved, you must have a licensed and bonded architect prepare detailed construction plans. These plans must meet specific requirements to gain Itan's final approval.

First, the detailed construction plans must align with the previously approved initial design plans. Second, they must adhere to all standards and specifications outlined in Itan's operations manual. This ensures consistency across all franchise locations and maintains brand standards.

Finally, the construction plans must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local ordinances, building codes, permits, and any lease requirements or restrictions specific to the premises. Once Itan approves these final construction plans, you are obligated to construct and equip your salon according to these approved plans and the requirements detailed in the manual. This ensures that the salon is built to Itan's specifications and meets all legal requirements.
