Ongoing Training Programs
From time to time, we may require that your Managing Owner and general managers attend system-wide refresher or supplemental training courses. Any new Managing Owner you appoint or general manager you hire must successfully complete initial training before assuming responsibility for the management of your Salon. After successfully completing initial training, your Managing Owner may provide initial training for new general managers you hire. However we may, for good cause, revoke the Managing Owner's right to train general managers. If we inspect your Salon and determine you are not operating in compliance with the Franchise Agreement and the Manual, we may require that your Managing Owner and general managers attend remedial training relevant to the operational deficiencies we observed. You may also request that we provide additional training. We are not required to provide additional training you request.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan may require a Managing Owner to attend system-wide refresher or supplemental training courses. Itan also requires that any new Managing Owner or general manager must successfully complete initial training before assuming management responsibilities at the salon.
If Itan inspects a franchisee's salon and determines that it is not operating in compliance with the Franchise Agreement and the Manual, Itan may require that the Managing Owner and general managers attend remedial training to address the operational deficiencies observed. The franchisee may also request additional training, but Itan is not obligated to provide it.
Itan does not charge training fees for system-wide refresher or supplemental training courses. However, Itan may charge a training fee of up to $300 per person per day for retraining (after failing a prior attempt), remedial training, or additional training requested by the franchisee. The franchisee is responsible for all wages and travel expenses incurred for training by themselves and their trainees.
