Itan Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We will set up an Instagram account (which we will own) for your Salon. You must regularly post content in accordance with our guidelines and regulations, including the following:

  • you must strictly comply with our social media policy, as revised from time to time
  • we must approve all content prior to posting (you must immediately remove any post we disapprove)
  • you must, upon our request, contract with and utilize a social media company we designate

Except as discussed above with respect to your Salon's Instagram account, we retain complete control over all social media accounts.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain approval for social media content on the Instagram account that Itan sets up for the Salon. Itan retains ownership of this Instagram account.

Specifically, franchisees must regularly post content in accordance with Itan's guidelines and regulations, and Itan must approve all content before it is posted. If Itan disapproves of a post, the franchisee must immediately remove it.

Outside of the Instagram account that Itan owns, franchisees cannot develop, host, or maintain a website or other digital presence relating to their Salon, including websites bearing Itan's marks. Franchisees also cannot utilize the Internet to conduct digital or online advertising or engage in e-commerce, except for the webpage that Itan provides.
