What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you are converting an existing business to an Itan franchise, you are required to spend a minimum of $5,000 on advertising and marketing activities within 30 days of receiving the Certificate of Conversion Completion. These activities are intended to promote the conversion of your current business into an Itan Salon.
Specifically, the FDD states that Itan must approve all advertising and marketing materials related to this conversion. This approval process is in accordance with Section 10.3(a) of the Franchise Agreement. Itan also retains the right to specify a grand opening marketing program that the franchisee must follow.
This requirement ensures that all advertising aligns with Itan's brand standards and marketing strategies. It allows Itan to maintain consistency in its messaging and presentation across all franchise locations, even during a conversion. Franchisees need to factor in both the cost and the time required to obtain approval for their advertising plans when converting their business to an Itan franchise.
