What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must exclusively use the email addresses provided by Itan for all communications related to their salon. This includes correspondence with Itan itself, customers, suppliers, and any other individuals or entities involved with the Itan salon. Franchisees are explicitly prohibited from using these email addresses for any purposes unrelated to the operation of their Itan salon.
This requirement ensures that all communications pertaining to the Itan business are conducted through channels that Itan can monitor and control. It allows Itan to maintain a consistent brand image and quality of service across all franchise locations. Additionally, it provides Itan with access to important data and insights into customer interactions, supply chain management, and overall business operations.
It is important to note that Itan retains ownership of these email addresses and accounts, granting franchisees the right to use them only during the term of the franchise agreement. Itan also has the independent right to view these email accounts and emails at any time. This level of access allows Itan to oversee communications, ensure compliance with brand standards, and address any potential issues or concerns that may arise.
For a prospective Itan franchisee, this means they must be diligent in using the designated email addresses for all business-related communications and must not use them for personal or unrelated matters. They should also be aware that Itan has the right to monitor these communications, which underscores the importance of maintaining professional and compliant communication practices.
