What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as part of the assistance Itan provides before a salon opens, they will provide an initial supply of marketing materials. Itan will also assist in developing a marketing plan for the salon, including a grand opening marketing plan.

During the operation of the Itan salon, the franchisee must participate at their own expense in all advertising, promotional, and marketing programs that Itan requires. Itan provides reasonable marketing consulting, guidance, and support throughout the franchise term on an "as-needed" basis.

Itan may periodically create advertising and marketing materials for the franchisee's use. Itan may use the Brand Fund to pay for the creation and distribution of these materials, provide online access to these materials (in which case the franchisee must print them at their own expense), or contract with third-party suppliers to create advertising or marketing materials that the franchisee may purchase. The franchisee must spend at least $5,000 on grand opening marketing activities. The franchisee must also spend at least 2% of gross sales on local advertising each month, which Itan may increase to 3.5% of gross sales with 30 days' notice. Brand fund fees and grand opening marketing expenditures do not count toward this local marketing commitment.
