According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Program Participation Rules may be set forth in the Manual. The FDD defines "Program Participation Rules" as the policies, procedures, fees, and other requirements pertaining to any gift card, loyalty, membership, or other system-wide program Itan implements.

Itan may periodically develop and implement membership, loyalty, gift card, and other system-wide programs, and franchisees must fully participate in all programs designated as mandatory. To participate, franchisees must comply with all policies and procedures Itan establishes for the program, purchase or license and utilize all necessary equipment, software, mobile applications, technology, and other items, and pay all associated fees and costs. Franchisees must also pay Itan, its affiliate, or a designated third party all program fees, contributions, or other required amounts.

Itan retains the right to change Program Participation Rules at any time, and franchisees must comply with these changes. Itan also has the authority to develop and implement new or successor programs and/or modify or terminate existing programs at any time. This gives Itan considerable latitude in how these programs are run and how franchisees must participate, so prospective franchisees should be aware of the potential for changes and the costs associated with compliance.
