What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, it is mandatory for the Managing Owner to complete the initial training program. The Managing Owner is the individual designated by the franchisee who has primary responsibility for managing and operating the Itan salon.
The FDD states that the Managing Owner must be approved by Itan and must successfully complete all required training programs. Additionally, if a new Managing Owner is appointed after the salon opens, they must attend and successfully complete the then-current initial training program before they can take over management responsibilities. This ensures that anyone in charge of the daily operations of the Itan franchise is properly trained and meets Itan's standards.
Itan may also require the Managing Owner and management personnel to attend remedial training if the salon is not operating in compliance with the Franchise Agreement or the Manual. This remedial training would address specific operational deficiencies. Itan also retains the right to designate refresher or supplemental training courses as either mandatory or optional for owners and management personnel.
