What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the onsite training program lasts approximately 5 days. This training takes place at the franchisee's salon immediately before and through the opening date. During this time, a designated trainer from Itan will monitor the salon's operations and provide assistance with the opening process.
This onsite training is part of Itan's comprehensive initial training program, which also includes remote self-paced training and hands-on training at a designated facility in San Diego, California. The onsite portion focuses on the practical aspects of running the salon and ensures that the franchisee and their team are prepared for the grand opening.
It is important to note that while Itan provides this initial onsite training, franchisees are responsible for covering the wages and travel expenses for themselves and their trainees during all phases of training. However, the FDD specifies that the reimbursement obligation for travel expenses does not apply to the initial onsite training conducted before the salon opens.
