What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Faraje Kharsa, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Itan, may provide instruction on all topics related to the franchise. Kharsa has been involved with Itan since 2001, bringing 24 years of experience in the tanning salon industry to his training.
Itan provides an initial training program for the Managing Owner and initial general managers. This program includes remote training, hands-on training in San Diego, and onsite training at the franchisee's salon. The initial training program consists of 2 to 4 weeks of self-paced remotely conducted training in 2 stages, 5 days of hands-on training in San Diego, California, and 5 days of onsite training at the salon when it opens.
Remote training includes online core operational curriculum administered through iTAN University, supplemented by 12 hours of live virtual training sessions. Hands-on training takes place at a designated training facility in San Diego, California. Onsite training involves monitoring operations and assisting with the salon opening.
Itan may also require the Managing Owner and general managers to attend system-wide refresher or supplemental training courses. If a salon is not operating in compliance with the Franchise Agreement and the Manual, Itan may require the Managing Owner and general managers to attend remedial training. While franchisees can request additional training, Itan is not required to provide it.
