What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must hire a licensed and bonded architect to prepare initial design plans for their salon's construction and leasehold improvements. Itan must approve these initial design plans to ensure they align with the company's system standards.

Once Itan approves the initial design plans, the architect must then prepare detailed construction plans. These detailed plans must be consistent with the approved design plans, satisfy all standards and specifications outlined in Itan's manual, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local ordinances, building codes, permits, and lease requirements.

Finally, franchisees must submit the final construction plans to Itan for approval. After Itan approves the final construction plans, the franchisee is required to construct and equip their salon according to these approved plans and the requirements detailed in Itan's manual. Franchisees must also purchase or lease and install the technology systems, equipment, fixtures, signs, and other items that Itan requires.
