Does Itan have independent access to all data entered into the franchisee's computer system?

Microsoft 365 will generate and store operational updates and monthly sales data. It will also store working documents, such as spreadsheets, reports, word documents, presentations, etc. Your point-of-sale system will store data about your customers (including name, address, contact information, membership data and purchase history), employees (including hours worked and performance data) and operations (including sales and expense data). QuickBooks Online Plus will store accounting data. We have independent unlimited access to all of this data and there are no contractual limits imposed on our access. Currently, we do not have independent access to any other data entered into your computer system (i.e., data that is not entered into or stored through Microsoft 365), but we may inspect your computer system and access this data during an inspection.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan has independent and unlimited access to data stored within Microsoft 365, the point-of-sale system, and QuickBooks Online Plus. This includes operational updates, monthly sales data, customer information, employee data, and accounting data. There are no contractual limits on Itan's access to this information.
However, Itan does not currently have independent access to other data entered into the franchisee's computer system that is not stored through these specific platforms. This means that any data stored outside of Microsoft 365, the point-of-sale system, and QuickBooks Online Plus is not automatically accessible by Itan.
Itan retains the right to inspect the franchisee's computer system and access any data during an inspection. This implies that while they do not have continuous remote access to all data, they can still review all information on-site. As a prospective franchisee, it is important to understand the scope of data Itan can access and how they might use this information for business oversight and support.
