What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan franchisees must comply with changes to the goods and services offered. Itan must approve all goods and services that a franchisee sells, and the franchisee must offer all goods and services that Itan requires. Franchisees cannot sell any goods or services that Itan has disapproved and must strictly follow Itan's approved menu and menu system, presenting offerings as designated by Itan.
This means that Itan has the right to modify the products and services offered at its franchise locations. If Itan decides to introduce a new tanning service, discontinue a lotion, or alter the menu in any way, franchisees are obligated to implement these changes in their salons.
This requirement ensures uniformity across all Itan locations and allows Itan to adapt to market trends and customer preferences. However, it also means that franchisees have limited autonomy in deciding what they can sell and must be prepared to invest in new equipment, products, or training to comply with Itan's changes. Franchisees should factor in the potential costs and operational adjustments associated with these changes when evaluating the franchise opportunity.
