What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must have all advertising and marketing programs and materials approved by Itan prior to use. This includes materials that Itan did not prepare or previously approve, or that Itan prepares or approves and the franchisee modifies. The media used for advertising must also be approved by Itan.

Itan has 10 business days to review and either approve or disapprove the advertising and marketing materials submitted by the franchisee. If Itan fails to respond within this 10-day period, it is considered a disapproval. Any advertising proposed by the franchisee and approved by Itan is considered an "Improvement."

Franchisees are prohibited from using any advertising materials, programs, or media that Itan has not approved or that Itan approves and later disapproves. This requirement ensures that all advertising aligns with Itan's brand standards and marketing strategies, maintaining consistency across all franchise locations. Failure to comply with these advertising guidelines could result in penalties or other enforcement actions as outlined in the franchise agreement.
