What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the grand opening period for a new salon concludes 60 days after the salon's opening date. During this period, Itan requires franchisees to implement a grand opening marketing campaign, following a plan approved by Itan. Franchisees must spend a minimum of $5,000 on approved grand opening marketing expenditures during this time.

Itan may also recommend that franchisees spend more than the $5,000 minimum based on their assessment of local market conditions and the franchisee's grand opening marketing plan. Franchisees are also required to submit a report detailing their grand opening marketing campaign expenditures no later than 60 days after the grand opening period expires.

This grand opening expenditure is separate from the ongoing local marketing commitment, where franchisees must spend at least 2% of monthly Gross Sales on local advertising after opening. Itan may increase this local marketing commitment with 30 days' notice, up to a maximum of 3.5% of Gross Sales. Franchisees must ensure all advertising is factual, ethical, and compliant with all laws, and that it does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
