What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must submit final construction plans to Itan for approval. These plans are reviewed to ensure they align with Itan's system standards.

Before submitting the final plans, franchisees must hire a licensed and bonded architect to prepare initial design plans. These initial plans also require Itan's approval to ensure consistency with system standards. Once the initial design plans are approved, the architect prepares detailed construction plans that are consistent with the approved design plans, satisfy all standards and specifications in Itan's manual, and comply with all applicable laws, building codes, permits, and lease requirements.

This process ensures that each Itan salon maintains a consistent brand image and meets all necessary legal and safety requirements. Franchisees are responsible for all costs associated with the construction and equipping of the premises according to the approved plans and specifications.

It is important for prospective franchisees to understand these construction requirements and associated costs, as they can significantly impact the initial investment and timeline for opening an Itan salon. Franchisees should also ensure they maintain the required insurance coverage throughout the construction process.
