What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay a technology fee for specific software, technology, and related services provided by Itan. The initial cost for the computer and point-of-sale system, including upfront fees, is estimated to range from $5,000 to $7,000.
Itan franchisees must purchase and use designated technology systems, including a PC computer with Microsoft Windows, an all-in-one printer, Microsoft Office 365 with SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Reader, QuickBooks Online Plus, and a Helios 12 point-of-sale system with two terminals. Franchisees also need to maintain high-speed internet access to utilize Itan's Learning Management System (LMS) for training materials.
Microsoft 365, the point-of-sale system, and QuickBooks Online Plus store various data, including operational updates, sales data, customer information, employee data, and accounting data. Itan has unlimited access to this data. The franchisee is responsible for maintaining the computer and point-of-sale system and may be required to upgrade or change these systems to meet Itan's current specifications, with no contractual limitations on the frequency or cost of these updates.
