What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before opening their salon, an Itan franchisee must receive written authorization to open from the franchisor. This authorization is contingent upon several key factors. The Managing Owner must successfully complete the initial training program. The franchisee needs to obtain all required licenses, permits, and approvals from Governmental Authorities. They must also purchase all required insurance policies and provide evidence of coverage to Itan.
Furthermore, Itan must review and approve the construction, build-out, and layout of the salon to ensure it meets the brand's standards. The franchisee must also fulfill all other pre-opening obligations as outlined in the Franchise Agreement and the Manual. Meeting these requirements ensures that the salon is compliant with Itan's standards and legal requirements before commencing operations.
These stipulations are fairly standard in the franchise industry, as franchisors need to protect their brand and ensure consistency across all locations. For a prospective Itan franchisee, this means carefully planning and executing each step of the pre-opening phase, from securing the right location and permits to completing the necessary training and build-out, all while maintaining open communication with Itan for approvals and guidance.
