What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement can be signed in multiple counterparts. Specifically, section 24.15 of the agreement states that the agreement may be signed in multiple counterparts, each of which is considered an original. All of the counterparts together will constitute one and the same document.
This means that the franchisee and Itan do not necessarily have to sign the same physical document at the same time. Each party can sign a separate copy, and all signed copies together form the complete and legally binding agreement. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising and business agreements in general, as it allows for more flexibility in the signing process, especially when parties are geographically separated.
For a prospective Itan franchisee, this clause simplifies the logistics of finalizing the franchise agreement. It allows for efficient execution, as the franchisee and Itan can sign their respective copies and exchange them without needing to coordinate a single, simultaneous signing event. This can save time and reduce administrative hurdles in the process of becoming an Itan franchisee.
