  • "Marks" means and includes all service marks, trademarks, trade names and logos that we designate from time to time and authorize Salons to use, including iTAN®, iTAN SUN SPRAY SPA® and the associated logos.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan designates and authorizes franchisees to use service marks, trademarks, trade names, and logos. These marks include iTAN®, iTAN SUN SPRAY SPA® and associated logos. The marks also include any distinctive trade dress used to identify a Salon or the products it sells.

This means that as an Itan franchisee, you are granted the right to use the brand's established trademarks and logos to operate your salon. This is a standard practice in franchising, as it ensures brand consistency and recognition across all franchise locations. The use of these marks is essential for identifying your business as an official Itan franchise and benefiting from the brand's reputation.

However, it is important to note that the use of these marks is subject to Itan's control and authorization. Itan has the right to designate which marks franchisees are allowed to use and may change these designations from time to time. Franchisees must adhere to Itan's brand standards and guidelines when using the marks to maintain the integrity of the brand. Unauthorized use of the marks could result in a breach of the franchise agreement.
