What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the required minimum modifications and improvements for the construction plans are detailed in Attachment C to the Conversion Addendum. Franchisees are required to hire a licensed and bonded architect to prepare construction plans for converting their premises into an Itan Salon.
The architect must ensure that these construction plans incorporate the modifications and improvements outlined in Attachment C. Additionally, the plans must adhere to all standards and specifications found in the Manual and comply with all applicable laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, building codes, permits, and lease requirements.
It is important to note that Itan's approval of the construction plans must be obtained within 90 days of the addendum's effective date. The review process is primarily to verify that the plans align with Itan's system standards. Once the plans are approved, the franchisee is responsible for constructing and equipping the premises according to these approved plans and the specifications in the Manual, including purchasing and installing all necessary signage, technology systems, equipment, and fixtures.
