What factors can cause the Itan franchisee's actual training expenses to vary?

Itan Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

The low estimate assumes only your Managing Owner completes initial training. If you choose to hire a general manager, your general manager must also complete initial training. The high estimate assumes initial training is completed by your Managing Owner and 1 general manager. Your actual training expenses may vary depending on: (a) the number of people you send to training; (b) the distance they must travel; and (c) the level and quality of accommodations, travel and dining selected. The high estimate also includes pre-opening payroll for your general manager during our training program.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the estimated initial training expenses range from $2,500 to $9,500. These expenses cover travel and other costs associated with completing Itan's initial training program, which includes two weeks of remote training, five days at a certified iTAN training facility in San Diego, California, and five days of on-site training at the franchisee's studio upon opening. The lower end of the estimate assumes only the Managing Owner completes the training. The higher estimate accounts for both the Managing Owner and a general manager completing the training, including pre-opening payroll for the general manager.

Several factors can cause a franchisee's actual training expenses to vary. These include the number of people sent to training, the distance they must travel to the training location, and the level and quality of accommodations, travel, and dining selected. If a franchisee chooses to hire a general manager, that person must also complete the initial training, increasing the overall training expenses. The high estimate of training expenses also factors in the pre-opening payroll for the general manager during the training period.

Prospective Itan franchisees should carefully consider these factors when budgeting for their initial investment. The decision to hire a general manager early on will impact training costs, as will the location of the franchise and the travel arrangements made for training. It is important to plan for these potential variations to ensure adequate funding is available during the initial setup phase.
