What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as an employee or independent contractor of an Itan franchisee, you are prohibited from making unauthorized copies of documents containing Confidential Information. This restriction is part of a broader agreement to protect Itan's intellectual property and confidential information, recognizing its vital importance to the success of the franchise system.
This means that employees cannot reproduce or distribute documents that contain sensitive business information, such as the operations manual, financial data, marketing strategies, or customer lists, without proper authorization. This measure aims to prevent the misuse or leakage of proprietary information that could harm Itan's competitive advantage or the interests of its franchisees.
This obligation extends for as long as you are employed by or contracted with the Itan franchisee. Upon termination of your employment or contract, you must immediately cease using the Intellectual Property and Confidential Information. This ensures that confidential information remains protected even after your association with the Itan franchise ends.
