What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the development fee for Salon 5 is $199,500. This fee is imposed under an Area Development Agreement (ADA), which requires a minimum commitment to develop 3 units. The development fee covers the initial franchise fee for each salon a developer is obligated to open under the ADA.
Itan expects that most area developers will purchase the rights to develop between 3 and 5 Salons. The development fee for 3 Salons is $129,500. The development fee for 5 Salons is $199,500.
It is important to note that the Conversion Discount does not apply to Salons developed under an ADA. However, if a franchisee qualifies for the Veterans Discount, they will receive a $4,950 discount off the development fee.
