What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an Itan franchisee must open their salon to the public within a specific timeframe after the site has been approved. The opening must occur by whichever date comes first: either 180 days after Itan approves the site, or on the first anniversary of the franchise agreement's effective date.

Before opening, the franchisee must provide Itan with a written notice of their proposed opening date at least 30 days in advance. Itan retains the right to conduct a pre-opening inspection of the salon and require changes or modifications before authorizing the opening. The franchisee cannot open the salon until they receive written authorization from Itan.

Itan will not grant authorization to open until several conditions are met. These conditions include the Managing Owner successfully completing the initial training program, the franchisee obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and approvals from governmental authorities, and the franchisee purchasing all required insurance policies and providing proof of coverage. Additionally, Itan must review and approve the construction, build-out, and layout of the salon, and the franchisee must fulfill all other pre-opening obligations as outlined in the Franchise Agreement and the Manual.
