Competing Businesses Under Different Marks

Currently, neither we nor any affiliate of ours intends to operate or franchise another business under a different trademark that sells products or services similar to the products or services offered by a Salon. However, we reserve the right to do so in the future.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan currently does not operate or franchise any other businesses under a different trademark that sell similar products or services to an Itan Salon. However, Itan retains the right to do so in the future. This means that while Itan franchisees won't currently face competition from other brands owned by Itan, this could change.

This is a fairly standard clause in franchise agreements, as franchisors often want to maintain flexibility in their business strategies. It's important for prospective franchisees to understand that the competitive landscape could evolve if Itan decides to introduce a new brand.

While Itan states they currently have no intention to operate or franchise another business under a different trademark that sells similar products or services, they reserve the right to do so in the future. This could impact an Itan franchisee's market share and profitability if a competing brand emerges from the franchisor itself.
