What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Conversion Discount does not apply to Itan Salons developed under an Area Development Agreement (ADA). The FDD specifies that the Conversion Discount is not applicable for Salons developed under an ADA.
The Area Development Agreement requires a commitment to develop a minimum of 3 Itan Salons. The development fee covers the initial franchise fee for each Salon required to be developed under the ADA.
This means that if a prospective franchisee is planning to convert an existing tanning salon into an Itan Salon and also wants to develop multiple locations under an ADA, they will not receive the $15,000 Conversion Discount for any of the salons developed under the ADA. However, if the franchisee qualifies for the Veterans Discount, they may receive a $4,950 discount off of their development fee.
