What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a breach of the Development Schedule is considered a material breach of the Area Development Agreement. The Development Schedule outlines the required number of salons the Area Developer must develop, open, and operate within a specific territory and timeframe.
This means that failing to meet the opening dates for the required salons as specified in the Development Schedule can have significant consequences for the Area Developer. It's crucial for prospective Area Developers to carefully review and understand the Development Schedule before signing the Area Development Agreement.
Itan requires that the Area Developer conduct their own independent investigation and analysis of the prospects for development of the Required Salons in the Development Territory, approve the Development Schedule as being reasonable and viable, and recognize that a breach of the Development Schedule is a material breach of this Agreement.
