What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan has the right to conduct a preopening inspection of a franchisee's salon. Prior to opening, the franchisee must provide Itan with a written notice identifying the proposed opening date at least 30 days in advance. Before the salon can open, Itan must review and approve the construction, build-out, and layout of the salon.

Itan will not authorize the opening until several conditions are met. These conditions include the Managing Owner successfully completing the initial training program, obtaining all required licenses, permits, and approvals from Governmental Authorities, purchasing all required insurance policies and providing evidence of coverage, and fulfilling all other preopening obligations under the Franchise Agreement and the Manual.

Itan also retains the right to conduct inspections at any time without prior notice to ensure compliance with system standards. During these inspections, Itan will attempt to minimize interference with the salon's operations, and franchisees and their employees are required to cooperate with the inspection. The franchisee is responsible for reimbursing Itan for travel expenses and other costs associated with inspections required to address health or safety issues identified by a Governmental Authority or breaches of system standards brought to the franchisee's attention.
