Is completion of the initial training program a requirement for the transferee of an Itan franchise?

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you plan to transfer your franchise to a new owner, the transferee's owners must successfully complete, or make arrangements to attend, the initial training program. The transferee is also responsible for paying any applicable training fee. The transfer fee covers training for one person.

This requirement ensures that the new owner is properly trained to operate the Itan franchise according to Itan's standards. It protects the brand's reputation and ensures consistency across all franchise locations.

In addition to completing the training program, the transferee must also meet other conditions, such as having sufficient business experience, aptitude, and financial resources, complying with all agreements, obtaining necessary licenses and permits, and signing Itan's current franchise agreement. The transferee must also agree to remodel the salon to meet Itan's current standards and pay a $10,000 transfer fee.
