What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan does not charge training fees for system-wide refresher or supplemental training courses. However, Itan may charge a training fee of up to $300 per person per day for retraining after a failed attempt, remedial training, or additional training requested by the franchisee.

If Itan provides onsite training or assistance, the franchisee must reimburse all travel expenses incurred by Itan. This reimbursement obligation does not apply to any onsite initial training conducted before the salon opens. The franchisee is responsible for all wages and travel expenses incurred by themselves and their trainees for training.

This means that while Itan covers the cost of mandatory system-wide updates, franchisees should budget for potential expenses related to additional or remedial training needs. Franchisees should also be prepared to cover travel and wage costs for themselves and their staff during training, as well as travel expenses for any onsite support provided by Itan after the initial opening.
