Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We must approve all goods and services you sell. You must offer all goods and services we require. You may not sell any goods or services we have disapproved. You must strictly abide by our approved menu and menus system. You must present the menu offerings in the manner we designate. At any time, we may change the goods and services you sell and you must comply with the change. We may require you to participate in a gift card or other customer loyalty program (including utilization of a "membership" model) in accordance with our policies and procedures.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Itan's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Itan retains the right to modify the goods and services offered by its franchisees. The franchisee must secure Itan's approval for all goods and services they intend to sell and must offer all goods and services that Itan requires. The franchisee is prohibited from selling any goods or services that Itan has disapproved and must adhere strictly to Itan's approved menu and presentation standards.

Itan can change the goods and services that a franchisee is allowed to sell at any time, and the franchisee is obligated to implement these changes. This includes adhering to Itan's approved menu and presentation standards. Itan also has the right to mandate participation in gift card or customer loyalty programs, potentially including a membership model, according to their established policies and procedures.

This level of control allows Itan to maintain brand consistency and adapt to market trends across all franchise locations. However, it also means that franchisees have limited autonomy in choosing their offerings and must be prepared to adapt their business based on Itan's decisions. Prospective franchisees should consider how this might affect their business and discuss any concerns with Itan before signing the franchise agreement.
