What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Hyper Kidz's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may not open their Hyper Kidz Business until Hyper Kidz has given its approval. The franchisee must also open their Hyper Kidz Business and begin business no later than 12 months after signing the Franchise Agreement. Failure to open within this timeframe may result in an extension or termination of the Franchise Agreement by Hyper Kidz.

Prior to opening, franchisees must fulfill several pre-opening obligations. These include obtaining Hyper Kidz's approval of the proposed site and the lease or purchase agreement. Franchisees must also adhere to Hyper Kidz's design specifications for the building's layout, decoration, and overall appearance. Additionally, franchisees (or one of their Principals), their General Manager and one additional trainee (for a maximum of three people) must complete Hyper Kidz's mandatory initial training program to Hyper Kidz's satisfaction no later than 60 days before the business's operation date.

Furthermore, franchisees are required to conduct a grand opening advertising campaign, spending at least $5,000, within the period that includes 12 weeks before and 12 weeks after opening their Hyper Kidz Business. Hyper Kidz must approve the elements of this campaign, which may include direct mail campaigns and giveaways. Hyper Kidz retains the right to manage these grand opening funds and activities on behalf of the franchisee.
