What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Hyper Kidz's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the minimum staffing requirements are in place to ensure that each Hyper Kidz Business is adequately staffed to meet the standards of the Hyper Kidz system. This is to ensure the business operates in conformity with the system, maintaining the quality of products and services, and upholding the brand attributes that customers expect from Hyper Kidz.
The FDD emphasizes that franchisees have the autonomy to exceed these minimum staffing levels, allowing them to adjust staffing according to their specific business needs and demands. Franchisees can hire as many employees as they deem necessary, provided they meet the minimum requirements set by Hyper Kidz.
Hyper Kidz also clarifies that any recommendations regarding salaries or wages are merely suggestions to assist the franchisee. The franchisee retains control over employee compensation, hiring, scheduling, discipline, and termination, and is solely responsible for all employment-related liabilities. This arrangement underscores the franchisee's role as the exclusive employer of their staff, with Hyper Kidz's minimum staffing requirements serving only to maintain brand standards and operational efficiency across all locations.
