According to Hyper Kidz's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the on-the-job training for several key operational areas takes place in Columbia, Maryland. This includes floor management, front desk management, party hosting, equipment maintenance, running the operation, managing social media, customer relations, and setting up software. Each of these areas includes 2 hours of classroom training and 3 hours of on-the-job training.
This on-the-job training is a component of the initial training program that Hyper Kidz requires franchisees, their General Managers, and one additional trainee to complete before opening their franchise. The initial training program itself may be held at Hyper Kidz's Affiliate's Hyper Kidz Business in Columbia, Maryland, at the Hyper Kidz headquarters, or at another location designated by Hyper Kidz.
In addition to the initial training, Hyper Kidz also provides on-site pre-opening and opening training, supervision, and assistance at the franchisee's location for up to 14 days around the opening of the Hyper Kidz Business. This on-site support is provided by a trained representative from Hyper Kidz. Additional on-site training may also be available at the franchisee's Hyper Kidz Business at a per diem fee, should the franchisee request it or if Hyper Kidz determines it is necessary, such as after an unsatisfactory inspection.
