What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Hyper Kidz Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is $42,500. This fee is payable in a lump sum when you sign the Franchise Agreement. The initial franchise fee is applied uniformly to all franchisees and is non-refundable under any circumstances.
For franchisees who sign a Multi-Unit Development Agreement, the initial franchise fee is incorporated into the development fee. The development fee covers the initial franchise fee for the first Hyper Kidz location, plus 50% of the initial franchise fee for each additional location to be developed in the designated area. For example, if a franchisee commits to developing three Hyper Kidz locations, the development fee is calculated as $42,500 for the first location plus $21,250 for each of the two additional locations, totaling $85,000.
For each Hyper Kidz Business developed after the first one under a Multi-Unit Development Agreement, a pro rata portion of the development fee is applied toward the initial franchise fee. The remaining balance of the initial franchise fee, which is $19,750, is due in a lump sum when the franchisee signs the Franchise Agreement for that specific Hyper Kidz Business. This structure allows multi-unit developers to spread out the initial investment over multiple locations, while still adhering to the standard initial franchise fee for each.
