What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Hyper Kidz's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, even if a franchisee or their principals are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the franchised business, they still have certain obligations. Specifically, the franchisee or one of their principals must satisfactorily complete the initial training program. This ensures that someone with a vested interest in the business understands the Hyper Kidz system and standards.
Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for ensuring that the Hyper Kidz business is operated in compliance with the Franchise Agreement, the Manual, and the System. This means that even if a general manager is running the daily operations, the franchisee retains ultimate responsibility for adherence to Hyper Kidz's rules and guidelines. This obligation underscores the importance of the franchisee's oversight, even in an absentee ownership model.
These requirements ensure that all Hyper Kidz locations maintain consistent standards and protect the brand's reputation, regardless of whether the franchisee is directly involved in daily operations. By requiring training and compliance oversight, Hyper Kidz aims to mitigate the risks associated with absentee ownership and maintain quality control across all franchised locations.
