Hyper_Kidz Franchise · 2024 FDD

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

You must pay a non-refundable Brand Development Fee to the Fund in an amount equal to 2% of your Gross Sales. As stated in Item 8, we may contribute Allowances we receive from approved suppliers to the Fund. If we choose to do this, it does not reduce or eliminate your obligation to pay the Brand Development Fee. Hyper Kidz Businesses owned and operated by us or our affiliates will contribute to the Fund on the same basis as our franchisees.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Hyper Kidz's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Brand Development Fee is non-refundable. Franchisees must pay 2% of their gross sales to the Brand Development Fund, which Hyper Kidz uses for advertising, marketing, and public relations to promote the Hyper Kidz brand.

Hyper Kidz may also contribute allowances they receive from approved suppliers to the fund; however, this does not reduce or eliminate the franchisee's obligation to pay the Brand Development Fee. Even if a franchisee does not directly benefit from the fund's activities in their specific geographic area, they are still required to contribute. Hyper Kidz also states that Hyper Kidz businesses owned and operated by them or their affiliates will contribute to the Fund on the same basis as franchisees.

This non-refundable fee structure means that franchisees cannot recover these payments, even if they are dissatisfied with the marketing efforts or if their business does not directly benefit from the fund's activities. Franchisees should factor this ongoing expense into their financial projections and understand that it is a mandatory contribution to the overall Hyper Kidz brand promotion.
