What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Hyper Kidz Franchise Disclosure Document, Hyper Kidz does not anticipate holding any refresher training programs. However, Hyper Kidz has the right to hold meetings or conventions of franchisees, which may be regional or national. Attendance at these meetings may be mandatory for the franchisee and/or their General Manager unless excused by Hyper Kidz.
These meetings may be used to discuss new products or services, address franchisee concerns, or provide additional training. Hyper Kidz will determine the location of the franchisee meeting, ensuring it is not unreasonably expensive. While Hyper Kidz does not anticipate charging a fee for these meetings, franchisees are responsible for all expenses incurred by themselves and their attendees, including travel, lodging, meals, and applicable wages.
In the event that a franchisee requests additional on-site training at their Hyper Kidz Business, or if Hyper Kidz determines that additional training or assistance is needed (for example, due to unsatisfactory inspection ratings), the franchisee must pay the then-current per diem fee (currently $250) for each trainer provided. The franchisee is also responsible for reimbursing Hyper Kidz for any expenses incurred by the trainers, such as travel, lodging, and meals. This ensures that franchisees can receive additional support and training as needed, although it comes at an additional cost.
