Our designated accountant is the sole approved supplier of accounting services for the first two years of operation of your Franchised Business. We also may designate the suppliers you must use for your music subscription service, background checks on your employees, and the required video surveillance. You must also make sure that we have access to your video surveillance feed and/or records.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Hyper Kidz's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to ensure that Hyper Kidz has access to their video surveillance feed and/or records. This requirement is part of Item 8, which discusses restrictions on sources of products and services. Hyper Kidz may designate the suppliers that franchisees must use for required video surveillance.
This stipulation means that a Hyper Kidz franchisee must comply with the video surveillance system mandated by the franchisor and provide unrestricted access to the video footage. This access allows Hyper Kidz to monitor operations, ensure compliance with brand standards, and address any safety or security concerns. The franchisee does not have a choice about granting this access; it is a mandatory condition of the franchise agreement.
For a prospective franchisee, this requirement highlights the importance of understanding the full scope of operational control that Hyper Kidz retains. While video surveillance can be a valuable tool for loss prevention and quality control, franchisees should consider the implications for their own management practices and employee privacy. It is essential to clarify the specific protocols for data access, storage, and usage to ensure compliance and maintain a transparent working environment.
