What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the training program, known as HydroDog Academy, includes both online and on-site components. The online portion is delivered through an e-learning platform that features self-paced modules, video tutorials, and interactive assessments. The on-site training may be conducted either at the franchisee's location, with a trainer traveling to them, or at a designated corporate training facility, with the franchisee and their staff traveling to the facility. Therefore, the training is not always in person, as a portion of it is conducted online.

The on-site training includes hands-on instruction in equipment setup and maintenance, real-world practice in client management and service delivery, and direct support with implementing daily operations and HydroDog business protocols. Franchisees must complete the training program at least 30 days before opening their HydroDog Business. HydroDog may also make all or any portion of training online or video based instead of in person.

Prospective franchisees should note that they are responsible for all travel, living, and compensation expenses incurred in connection with training. Successful completion of the HydroDog Academy, including passing all required assessments, is mandatory before opening the business. Upon completion, franchisees and their trainees will receive a certificate of completion, which may be required for operational approval. HydroDog also offers a range of optional business development training modules to support franchisee growth and professional development.
