What is the trade and service mark used by Hydrodog?

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the trade and service mark used in the operation of Hydrodog Businesses is "HydroDog". The franchisor also utilizes assorted associated logos, designs, and commercial symbols, which are collectively referred to as the "Marks".

As a franchisee, you are granted the right to use Hydrodog's marks, but this right is solely derived from the franchise agreement. The agreement specifies that any goodwill established through the use of these marks benefits Hydrodog exclusively, and the franchisee does not acquire any independent interest in them beyond the right to operate under the agreement. Franchisees must use the marks as the sole trade identification of their HydroDog Business, while also identifying themselves as the independent owner in a manner acceptable to Hydrodog.

The FDD also places significant limitations on how a franchisee can use Hydrodog's marks. A franchisee cannot use the marks as part of any corporate or legal business name, with unauthorized prefixes or suffixes, in selling unauthorized services or products, or as part of any unauthorized domain name or electronic address. Franchisees are required to display the marks prominently and exclusively as prescribed by Hydrodog and must provide notices of trademark and service mark registrations as specified by the franchisor.
