What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Hydrodog 'System' does include layouts. The FDD specifies that the 'System' encompasses distinctive designs, layouts, color schemes, and signs. This means that as a franchisee, you will be expected to adhere to Hydrodog's prescribed layouts and designs in your mobile pet grooming business.
This is a common practice in franchising, as it ensures brand consistency and customer recognition across all locations. By adhering to the System Standards, Hydrodog aims to maintain a consistent image and customer experience. The System Standards are further detailed in the Hydrodog operations manuals, which the franchisee will be loaned a copy of during the franchise term.
As a Hydrodog franchisee, you must operate and maintain your Hydrodog Business in accordance with the System Standards, which may be modified and supplemented periodically. These standards may regulate the design, layout, decor, and appearance of the Hydrodog Vehicle. Modifications to System Standards may require additional capital investment or higher operating costs for the franchisee. However, Hydrodog agrees to provide at least ninety (90) days to comply with required Capital Modifications.
