Does the Hydrodog 'System' include equipment?

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Hydrodog 'System' does include equipment. The 'System' encompasses various elements crucial for operating a HydroDog Business, including distinctive designs, layouts, color schemes, signs, equipment, inventory, marketing methods, service requirements, standards and specifications, products, inventory, and suppliers; rules; training and assistance; and other methods and procedures.

Hydrodog franchisees are required to use a Computer System consisting of computer services, components, equipment, computer hardware, telecommunications equipment or services, and software designated or approved by Hydrodog. This Computer System is essential for the Business Management System and other operating or communications software. Hydrodog may modify the specifications for the Computer System from time to time, potentially requiring franchisees to incur costs to purchase, lease, or license new or modified software or hardware.

Furthermore, Hydrodog has the right to charge franchisees a reasonable systems fee for modifications and enhancements made to any proprietary software licensed to them, as well as for maintenance and support services related to the Computer System. Franchisees must ensure that their Computer System is compatible with Hydrodog's Business Management System and capable of performing designated functions, including connecting with Hydrodog's Computer System, reviewing business operations, and engaging in e-commerce activities. Franchisees must operate and maintain their HydroDog Business in accordance with System Standards, which regulate the design, layout, decor, appearance, make, model, condition, and equipment of the vehicle.
