If we require or you request, and we agree to provide, additional training or assistance, which may be conducted on-site (in Territory), online, at our location, or at another location we designate, you must pay our then-current fee for additional training (the "Additional Training Fees") plus all travel and living expenses for each trainer (the "Training Expenses"), regardless of training location.

For any training conducted at our location, you are responsible for all travel, lodging, meals, and incidental expenses incurred by you and your personnel in attending such training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is generally responsible for the costs associated with additional training. Specifically, if Hydrodog requires the franchisee or their owners to attend additional or extended initial training, the franchisee bears the expense. This includes situations where the franchisee or their staff fail to meet Hydrodog's performance or compliance standards, potentially necessitating further training.
If additional training or assistance is requested by the franchisee and agreed upon by Hydrodog, the franchisee must cover Hydrodog's then-current fee for additional training, along with all travel and living expenses for each trainer, regardless of the training location. These expenses encompass transportation, lodging, meals, and incidental costs. For training conducted at Hydrodog's location, the franchisee is responsible for all travel, lodging, meals, and incidental expenses incurred by them and their personnel.
Furthermore, if a franchisee is not already a dog groomer, they must either hire an approved lead groomer or complete Hydrodog's designated online grooming training program before initial training. The franchisee is solely responsible for the costs of this online training program, including registration fees, materials, equipment, travel, and living expenses, which are non-refundable. If a franchisee who is already a dog groomer fails the skills assessment, they will be required to attend a dog grooming academy of Hydrodog's choosing at their own expense before initial training. In the event of the death or disability of the franchisee or the owner of a controlling interest, any manager appointed to operate the Hydrodog business must complete training at the franchisee's expense.
