What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Hydrodog retains the right to restrict or prohibit a franchisee's use of alternative channels of distribution. This means that while franchisees can serve customers from any location, Hydrodog maintains control over how franchisees market and sell their services through different distribution channels.
Specifically, Hydrodog franchisees are restricted from marketing outside their territory. Furthermore, franchisees are generally prohibited from marketing or selling through the Internet, World Wide Web, or any other electronic means of marketing and distribution outside of their HydroDog Business, except for Hydrodog's website and any electronic marketing programs that Hydrodog authorizes.
This policy gives Hydrodog significant control over distribution methods, allowing them to manage brand consistency and market strategies across the franchise system. A prospective franchisee should discuss with Hydrodog what alternative channels of distribution they might consider using and under what conditions those channels would be approved.
