- Before the Business opens, we will provide to you and any person owning at least 20% of you and that plans to work in the Business at least 50% of the time, our Owner/Manager Training, including online HydroLink training. (Franchise Agreement, Section 7.1).
Time To Opening
We estimate that there will be an interval of approximately 3 to 12 months between the signing of the Franchise Agreement and the opening of your HydroDog Business; however, you must be open and operational within 30-days after receipt of your HydroDog Vehicle. Factorsthat may affect the time period include HydroDog Vehicle and equipment availability,shipping delays, custom orders, your ability to obtain financing, obtain business permits and licenses, schedule initial training, take delivery of required equipment, and hire employees.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Hydrodog does provide online HydroLink training as part of its initial training program. Specifically, Hydrodog will provide online HydroLink training to the franchisee and any person owning at least 20% of the franchisee's business who plans to work in the business at least 50% of the time. This training is provided before the Hydrodog business opens.
The initial training program, called "HydroDog Academy," combines both online and on-site training. The online portion is delivered through an e-learning platform that includes self-paced modules, video tutorials, and interactive assessments. This comprehensive approach is designed to equip franchisees with the essential operational skills needed to run a successful HydroDog franchise, focusing on daily operations, grooming practices, and customer management.
In addition to the initial online and on-site training, Hydrodog also offers ongoing training and support through its e-learning platform, which features video tutorials, operational checklists, guides, and daily operational resources. They also offer regular interactive webinars and personalized one-on-one coaching. Furthermore, Hydrodog has partnered with Paragon School of Pet Grooming, a virtual training program, to provide franchisees and their staff with access to professional grooming education, especially beneficial for those with limited or no grooming experience.
