What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for the costs associated with any training required beyond the initial training. The FDD states that any training beyond the initial program will be at the franchisee's expense and will incur additional fees. The initial training fee covers Hydrodog's expenses for providing the initial training. If a franchisee chooses to bring additional trainees, they will incur an additional initial training fee per person, and they will still be responsible for their travel and living expenses.
This means that if Hydrodog requires or the franchisee desires additional training after the initial program, the franchisee must cover all associated costs, including fees for the training itself, travel, and living expenses. This could include advanced grooming techniques, business management skills, or updates to Hydrodog's operational procedures. The costs for additional training are not included in the estimated initial investment, so franchisees should budget accordingly.
Prospective Hydrodog franchisees should consider the potential need for ongoing training and factor those costs into their financial projections. It is important to discuss with Hydrodog what types of additional training might be necessary or beneficial and to understand the potential costs involved. This will help franchisees make informed decisions about their investment and ensure they have the resources to stay up-to-date with Hydrodog's standards and practices.
