- Own and/or operate ourselves or authorize others to own and/or operate (a) any business located outside the Territory, whether or not using the Marks and/or System, (b) any business anywhere, whether using the Marks and/or System or not, which is not substantially similar to the business franchised to you under the Agreement and/or (c) any business anywhere which does not use the Marks;

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Hydrodog retains specific rights regarding business operations. Hydrodog has the right to own and/or operate businesses anywhere that do not use the Hydrodog Marks. This means Hydrodog can operate businesses, regardless of location, that are not branded or identified as Hydrodog.
This right allows Hydrodog to diversify its business interests without being restricted by the franchise agreements in place with its franchisees. It also enables Hydrodog to explore different business models or services that may not align directly with the core Hydrodog franchise concept.
For a potential Hydrodog franchisee, this clause indicates that Hydrodog could operate other, non-Hydrodog branded businesses in any location, potentially even in the same area as a franchise. However, these businesses would not operate under the Hydrodog name or system. This is a standard clause in many franchise agreements, allowing the franchisor flexibility to pursue other business opportunities.
