What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the on-site training is a component of the HydroDog Academy, which is designed to equip franchisees with the operational skills necessary to run a successful HydroDog franchise. The HydroDog Academy combines online and on-site training, focusing on daily operations, grooming practices, and customer management.
The on-site portion of the training may occur either at the franchisee's location, with a trainer traveling to them, or at Hydrodog's designated corporate training facility, which the franchisee and their staff would travel to. This hands-on instruction covers equipment setup and maintenance, provides real-world practice in client management and service delivery, and offers direct support in implementing daily operations and HydroDog business protocols.
Prospective franchisees should note that successful completion of the HydroDog Academy, including passing all required assessments, is mandatory before opening their business. Franchisees are also responsible for all travel, living, and compensation expenses incurred by themselves and their trainees in connection with the training.
